Chery will hold its Global Innovation Conference 2026 on October 20 in Wuhu, Anhui Province, under the theme “Change,” with an agenda that reads like an automaker declaring it’s now a tech company. The company will present its Yaoguang 2035 Strategy, which explicitly aims to move beyond car manufacturing toward becoming a global intelligent technology company.
The headline promise: what Chery describes as the automotive industry’s first domain-specific AI large model, built on the company’s work in computing power, algorithms, and data — plus an automotive-grade chip designed for a physical AI world model. The aim is to push AI deeper into vehicle development and manufacturing, and into applications beyond the car itself.
On the mobility side, Chery says it will unveil the world’s first factory-built Robotaxi developed for global markets, and its Lingxiao eVTOL flying car will make an appearance. The Falcon driver-assistance system and Lingxi intelligent cockpit are both due for upgrades that will spread across more Chery models. And on energy: the global debut of AC vehicle-to-grid technology plus a new fast-charging system, built on what Chery calls an end-to-end energy chain spanning generation, storage, transmission, and use.
