Diwali 2026 Car Deals: Maruti, Tata and Honda Offer up to ₹1.95 Lakh Off
By CARC Editorial Team · October 20, 2026 · 3 min read
India’s Diwali festive season has brought some of 2026’s biggest advertised car discounts, with automakers and dealers promoting cash discounts, exchange bonuses, scrappage benefits and special financing through October 31. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Honda, Hyundai and Renault are all running festive-season incentives, according to dealer offer listings published October 20.
The headline numbers: Maruti Suzuki dealer Varun Motors lists benefits of up to ₹80,000 on the Swift and up to ₹1.95 lakh on selected strong-hybrid versions of the Grand Vitara and Victoris, with the Invicto at up to ₹95,000 and the WagonR at up to ₹58,500. Honda is advertising benefits of up to ₹1.71 lakh on the City, Hyundai lists offers of up to ₹1 lakh on selected models, and Tata’s festive promotions include model-specific benefits — with some dealer offers advertising even higher figures.
The important catch: the biggest advertised discount is not necessarily what every buyer saves. Offers combine multiple benefits — cash, exchange, corporate, scrappage — and eligibility depends on the variant, city, exchange vehicle, financing arrangement and available stock. A ₹1.95 lakh headline may require trading in an old car, financing through a partner bank and buying the top variant.
For shoppers, the practical advice is the same in any market: get the out-the-door price in writing, separate the discount from the exchange valuation, and compare across dealers. Festive season is genuinely the best time of year to negotiate in India — just negotiate the real number, not the poster.
