Leapmotor Launches A10s Electric SUV With LiDAR for Just $13,800

Chinese EV maker Leapmotor launched the A10s, a sporty variant of its A10 small electric SUV, in China on October 18, 2026, at a list price of 92,800 yuan — about $13,810. That’s 6,000 yuan above the A10’s previous top-trim 505 LiDAR variant.
The spec sheet is remarkable for the money: a single front motor producing 90 kW (121 hp), a 53 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, and 505 km (314 miles) of CLTC range — matching the A10 505 LiDAR variant. The 800-volt platform charges from 30% to 80% in as little as 16 minutes, per local outlet Yiche.
The A10s differentiates mostly on style and tech: exclusive Mirror Night Black paint, gunmetal-gray badges, 18-inch black sport wheels, a red “S” badge, and a Modern Gray cabin with red-stitched faux-suede seats. Driver assistance is the real story — LiDAR plus a Qualcomm SA8295 cockpit chip and SA8650 assistance chip enabling urban navigation on autopilot, highway cruising, and parking-space-to-parking-space driving.
The launch follows the A10’s first month-on-month delivery decline since its debut — down 24.08% to 24,457 units in September, though that still represented nearly a quarter of Leapmotor’s monthly total. The A10s is a year-end sales-push play, and another reminder that China’s EV price floor keeps dropping while Western EVs start above $25,000.
