Li Auto will launch the updated 2026 i6 on October 28, with deliveries starting in early November. Teased on October 9 ahead of its European debut at the Paris Motor Show, the refreshed premium EV sedan gets six key upgrades covering lighting, storage, seats, displays, range and chips, according to CEO Li Xiang.
The headline numbers: a 96 kWh 5C fast-charging battery delivering 780 km of CLTC-rated range. Li Auto developed the cells in-house and outsourced production to Sunwoda and CALB — making CALB the company’s third power-battery supplier, entering the supply chain for the first time through the i6. Up front, the i6 gains adaptive matrix (ADB) headlights shared with the flagship MEGA, a power-operated frunk, and two front zero-gravity seats that recline to roughly 150 degrees.
The cabin tech is equally aggressive: a 29-inch 6K panoramic display for the front row and a 21-inch 4K rear entertainment screen, running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8797 cockpit chip alongside Li Auto’s self-developed Mach M100 chip. It is a rolling showcase for the company’s vertical-integration push — in-house battery cells, in-house silicon, outsourced cell manufacturing.
The i6 matters because it is a volume pillar: it has delivered more than 190,000 units in one year and ranked among the top three best-selling battery-electric vehicles priced above RMB 200,000 (about $29,830) for eight consecutive months. The October 28 launch will test whether the upgrades can keep it there as competition intensifies.
