Range Rover Electric and Bentley’s First EV Arrive: Luxury’s Electric Era Is Here

By CARC Editorial Team · October 19, 2026 · 3 min read

The Range Rover Electric has arrived after what EV Powered describes as a delay of almost two years. The electric flagship lists 542 bhp, a claimed 372 miles of range, and a starting price of £154,070 (roughly $195,000).

It’s joined by the Bentley Torcal — described as the Crewe manufacturer’s first EV — with up to 876 bhp and up to 375 miles of range, at an expected price around £173,000.

The two launches underline how important high-priced electric models remain to legacy luxury marques, where output, range, and brand heritage are the selling points. They join a crowded 2026 luxury EV wave that includes Ferrari’s first electric car (from €550,000) and Jaguar’s $130,500 Type 01 — while affordable EVs fight it out at the other end of the market.
