Chery’s User Summit Puts Robotaxi and a 1,000-km eVTOL Centre Stage

Chery Auto moved its technologies beyond the exhibition floor at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China, on October 26, with real-world driving demonstrations, public crash tests and intelligent parking systems visitors could activate from their smartphones. A central feature was SIVP (Super Intelligent Valet Parking), presented as an example of Chery’s intelligent driver-assistance capabilities for overseas markets, according to the GlobeNewswire report.
The future-mobility centrepieces were a Robotaxi programme and the Lingxiao electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The Lingxiao J506 is a five-seat eVTOL with a fully tilting six-rotor configuration, designed for a top speed of 350 km/h, a range of more than 1,000 kilometres and autonomous flight. Both programmes draw on Chery’s All World Engine (AWE) and CheryMind, its domain-specific foundation model for physical AI — the same software-first approach that underpins its driver-assistance systems.
Read the specifications as design targets, not certified performance: the J506’s 1,000-km range and 350 km/h top speed are what the aircraft is designed for, and neither Chery nor the summit report claims certification or a service date. What the summit does prove is breadth — Chery is now publicly developing cars, robotaxis and air taxis on a shared AI and engineering base, and showing them to international users rather than keeping them as domestic concepts. That is a different kind of car company pitch than a single new model.
