Ford Earnings Preview: Wall Street Expects $0.39 EPS and $45.7B Revenue on October 28

Ford reports third-quarter results on October 28, with the Zacks Consensus Estimate pegged at 39 cents per share and automotive revenue of $45.7 billion. The stock carries an Earnings ESP of +6.56% and a Zacks Rank #3, suggesting an above-average chance of a beat; Ford has topped earnings estimates in three of the trailing four quarters. Estimates for the quarter have moved down two cents in the past week.
The quarter’s backdrop is mixed. U.S. sales fell 6.6% to 509,764 vehicles, largely from the planned phase-out of the Escape and Lincoln Corsair — but Ford’s strategy is about margin, not volume. Management raised its 2026 Ford Blue EBIT guidance to $5–5.5 billion from $4.5–5 billion, anticipating a favorable product mix of trucks, large SUVs, off-road models and premium trims.
Support for the revenue line should come from the profit centers: F-Series trucks, Super Duty, Explorer and Expedition, plus the surging Maverick Hybrid. Stellantis also reports in this window, and GM’s Q3 beat on October 20 set a high bar — October 28 will show whether Ford’s portfolio cleanup is translating into the bottom line.
