Ford and Stellantis Both Report Q3 Earnings October 28: What to Watch in Detroit Busiest Week

Ford Motor is set to announce third-quarter 2026 results after the market closes on Wednesday, October 28, with a call scheduled for 5:00 PM ET. Analysts expect earnings of $0.4099 per share and revenue of $49.08 billion. Ford last reported on July 28, beating the $0.33 consensus with $0.42 per share on $48.30 billion in revenue, against a $47.24 billion consensus. Ford stock opened Monday at $11.59, with a 52-week range of $11.11 to $17.78 and a market capitalization near $46.2 billion, and Goldman Sachs cut its Ford price target to $14 from $16 in early October, citing lower 2026 EBIT and EPS estimates linked to the F-150 production interruption.

Stellantis publishes third-quarter 2026 results the same day, with presentation materials expected at 8:00 AM CET and a webcast at 1:00 PM CET. The report is a sharper margin and cash-flow test than usual: second-quarter operating profit was 702 million euros while operating cash flow was negative 169 million euros, the company suspended its 2026 dividend in February, and the stock traded near 3.71 euros on October 23, close to its yearly lows. The key question is whether the Ram-led improvement in US sales, with Ram up 29 percent in the third quarter while Jeep fell 20 percent, can broaden into stronger group profitability rather than remaining concentrated in a single brand.

Context matters for both reports. GM already delivered the quarter standout, with net income up 151 percent to $3.3 billion and a $20 billion buyback, while Rivian reports on October 29 with its own R2-driven story to tell. If Ford matches its consensus and Stellantis shows cash generation turning positive, the quarter reads as an industry recovery; if either misses, the story becomes a split market in which only the strongest balance sheets are compounding.
