Hyundai 2027 Pricing: Kona Starts at $25,500 Without Stop-Start, Ioniq 5 Starts at $35,250

Hyundai US specifications list 2027 Kona starting prices of $25,500 for the SE, $26,825 for the SEL Sport, $28,425 for the SEL Premium, and $32,535 for the Limited, before freight, taxes, fees, and options. The step from SEL Sport to SEL Premium is $1,600 and buys the stronger engine plus additional equipment, while the Limited costs another $4,110 above SEL Premium. For shoppers who dislike automatic stop-start, the least expensive SE is the version with the explicitly confirmed deletion, a small model-year change that can matter more in everyday driving than a styling tweak.
The 2027 Ioniq 5 pricing ladder starts at $35,250 for the SE Standard Range, then $37,750 for the SE, $40,200 for the SEL, $45,225 for the Limited, and $46,525 for the all-wheel-drive XRT, again before freight, taxes, fees, and options. The SE costs $2,500 more than the SE Standard Range and adds 73 miles of EPA-estimated range in rear-drive form. The SEL is the new entry point for roof rails, but buyers who want factory-integrated HomeLink must step up to the Limited, a distinction worth checking on the specific vehicle window sticker.
Availability is the caveat on the Ioniq 5. Hyundai US model page currently says the 2027 Ioniq 5 is sold only in select states, so shoppers should check local availability before treating a listed configuration and price as an in-stock choice. The Kona, by contrast, is a mainstream compact SUV with a straightforward ladder, and the SE stop-start deletion gives budget buyers a genuine reason to pick the base trim rather than feeling pushed up the range.
