2027 Kia EV6 Holds Its Price at $37,900, a Full $8,000 Above the New EV3

Kia announced 2027 EV6 pricing with the model carried over from last year and prices unchanged across all trims. The base EV6 Light standard-range rear-wheel-drive model starts at $37,900, not including the $1,545 destination fee, with a 63 kWh battery and up to 237 miles of range. The Light long-range rear-wheel-drive model costs $41,200 and delivers up to 319 miles from an 84 kWh battery. The rest of the lineup runs from $44,800 for the Wind rear-wheel-drive model to $53,000 for the GT-Line all-wheel-drive model, with all-wheel-drive range up to 295 miles and GT-Line all-wheel-drive range up to 270 miles.

The price story is really the EV3 story. After reducing prices on the 2026 EV6 by $5,000 just a few months earlier, Kia held the 2027 EV6 steady and launched the new EV3 at $29,890, about $8,000 less than the EV6. The entry-level EV3 Light front-wheel-drive model uses a 58.3 kWh battery with an EPA-estimated range of up to 221 miles, and the EV3 is available in five trims: Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT. Kia said the unchanged EV6 price plus the new EV3 is about making electric vehicles more attainable for buyers who embrace the fully electric lifestyle.

For shoppers, the comparison is now a range-versus-price trade rather than a trim-versus-trim puzzle. The EV3 saves about $8,000 and gives up about 16 miles against the base EV6 and about 98 miles against the long-range EV6. Buyers who drive mostly in town may never notice the smaller battery, while buyers who regularly drive long highway stretches will feel the 319-mile long-range EV6 in a way no discount erases.
