Avatr T09 Debuts in Paris: A 1,000-plus-hp Six-Seat Flagship With Huawei Tech

Avatr has unveiled the T09, a six-seat flagship luxury SUV with more than 1,000 horsepower, Huawei’s latest driver-assistance system and an expected price above 500,000 yuan (about $74,500). The concept version made its world premiere in Paris on October 11, 2026, and the production model is scheduled to go on sale before the end of 2026, according to coverage of the debut.

The T09 is built with Huawei and battery giant CATL, and it is the first model in Avatr’s new Prestige Luxury lineup — described in the coverage as the most technology-dense vehicle the brand has produced to date. That positioning matters because Avatr is not a volume brand chasing the cheapest EV; it is chasing the top of the Chinese luxury market, where buyers expect flagship SUVs to double as technology showcases, with driver-assistance hardware and cabin tech as central to the pitch as horsepower.

Two honest limits apply. First, the Paris car was a concept, so production specifications, final pricing and range figures may change before the on-sale date. Second, Avatr has no US sales channel, so American readers will not be able to buy a T09 — but they will feel its influence, because the Huawei-CATL technology stack and the six-seat luxury format are the template Chinese brands are exporting to Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, where they increasingly compete directly with German luxury SUVs.
