Kia PV5 Electric Van Launches in the Philippines at the Oct 22–24 EV Summit

Kia Philippines will officially launch the all-electric PV5 van at the 2026 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, running October 22–24 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The company confirmed the PV5 will be available in Cargo form first — a telling choice in a market where fuel costs swing constantly and delivery fleets run on tight margins.

The specs: a single 163-horsepower motor with 250 Nm of torque. The standard-range Cargo gets a 51.5 kWh battery for up to 384 km of range; an extended-range 71.2 kWh version stretches that to 524 km. Whether passenger variants will join the lineup may be announced at the summit itself.

The PV5 is the first vehicle on Kia’s dedicated PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) architecture — a modular electric skateboard designed for vans, not adapted from a car. Fleet electrification in Southeast Asia is one of the industry’s quiet growth stories, and the PV5’s arrival gives it its most serious contender yet.
