The New EV Price Board: Jaguar Type 01 at $130,500, Range Rover Electric at $138,000, and a $37,745 Mitsubishi

October's new-electric-vehicle price board shows just how wide the market has become. Jaguar unveiled the Type 01 in New York on October 6 at an anticipated $130,500 starting price, with orders opening in early 2027, while the Range Rover Electric opened for US orders at $138,000. At the other end of the luxury ladder, BMW priced two more Neue Klasse models — the i3 sedan at $61,500 and the iX4 at $66,200 — and Bentley revealed the Torcal, its first EV.

The mainstream middle is filling in fast. The Lexus TZ starts at $64,050 including its $1,550 delivery fee, the electric Mercedes-Benz GLC at $63,500 before a $1,450 destination charge, and the Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback EV at $37,745 before a $1,995 destination fee. The BMW iX3 and the Kia EV3 are now delivering in the US, and trackers note the cheapest new EV announced in America is a $24,950 pickup with crank windows — while the most expensive is Ferrari's first electric car, priced from 550,000 euros at its European launch.

Two dates moved the other way: Toyota now calls the Highlander EV a 2028 model with sales from early 2027, and Volvo lists US deliveries of the EX60 P10 for fall 2026 and the cheaper P6 for 2027. The backdrop for all of it is the end of the federal EV tax credit for purchases after September 30, 2025: with no $7,500 cushion, every one of these prices is now the price buyers actually pay, apart from state and local incentives. That pressure is visible in the numbers — and it is why the $37,745 Mitsubishi matters more to the market's future than the $138,000 Range Rover.
