Tesla Cybercab Begins Malaysia Showcase Tour, Running to November 22

Tesla Malaysia is showcasing its Cybercab autonomous robotaxi at four shopping malls across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang from October 29 to November 22, 2026. The tour begins at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, where the two-seat electric vehicle will be displayed from October 29 to November 1, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. Visitors can register for 15-minute guided walkthroughs through Tesla’s official event page, with a mystery gift available for qualifying walkthrough bookings or test drives of selected Tesla models, while stocks last.

The Cybercab then appears at Sunway Square Mall in Selangor from November 3 to 9, Pavilion Damansara Heights in Kuala Lumpur from November 10 to 11, and Gurney Plaza in Penang from November 13 to 22. First unveiled at Tesla’s We, Robot event in October 2024, the Cybercab is a purpose-built robotaxi designed to operate without a human driver, with a two-seat cabin, butterfly-style doors and a central touchscreen — but no conventional steering wheel or pedals. Tesla says the cabin holds luggage for two standard check-in suitcases and two carry-on suitcases.

Tesla has yet to publish a complete set of consumer-facing production specifications, but U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certification documents offer some insight: a single electric motor rated at 163 kW driving the front wheels through a single-speed transmission, with specialist reporting based on the same documents putting battery capacity at approximately 47.6 kWh. The Malaysia tour is a showcase, not a service launch — nobody is hailing a Cybercab there yet — but it is Tesla’s most public robotaxi roadshow in Southeast Asia to date.
